Kitchen / Breakfast Area
- Appliances (exterior) – polish stainless steel where needed
- Microwave – interior / exterior
- Counters and Back splashes – sanitized
- Tables and Chairs – cleaned
- Cabinet (exterior) – maintained
- Small Appliances and Canisters – cleaned and polished
- Sinks – scrubbed and disinfected
- Floors – vacuumed and damp mopped
- Collect and remove all trash
Bathrooms
- Sinks, Tubs, Showers, & Tiles – scrubbed and sanitized
- Commode – cleaned and sanitized
- Fixtures – cleaned & dried to a shine
- Floors and baseboards – washed hands and knees
- Countertops – scrubbed, dried to a shine
- Cabinet (exteriors) – maintained
- Soap Dishes, Bottles, Mirror Trays & Nik Naks – cleaned
- Collect and remove all trash
General Living Areas
- Furniture – all sides dusted (polished upon request)
- Baseboards / Window Sills – dusted
- Blinds – maintained
- Mirrors, Picture Frames, Lamps, and Decorative Items – dusted / cleaned
- Ceiling fans / Return vents – Dusted
- Glass tables / tops – cleaned
- Carpet – Vacuumed (moving light furniture only)
- Upholstered Furniture – clean under cushions and fluff pillows
- Area rugs – fringe combed out
- Floors – vacuumed and / or damp mopped
- Halls / Stairs – dusted, vacuumed and / or mopped
- Entry storm door cleaned
- General organizing
- Fingerprints removed in high contact areas (such as door handles and light switches
*Minit Maids does not use air fresheners due to individual taste and adverse health concerns.
Deep Clean Check List
The Deep Clean items listed below are extra services provided in addition to our General Clean Routine. Select from items below to customize your home’s needs. (The most popular items are listed in List A.)
List A
- Wet wash wood work – baseboards, door facings/trim, chair rails, window sills
- Kitchen & Bath cabinet (exteriors) – washed top to bottom
- Blinds (2”, mini, etc) – vacuum or hand dust (if they require washing we recommend a professional blind cleaning service )
- Plantation Shutters – hand wash
- Picture glass – hand wash (we never spray on the glass directly)
- Ceiling fans – washed (if reachable – otherwise we dust with our extension tool)
- Vacuum under beds – must be accessible with canister vacuum
- Vacuum along edges of carpet (next to baseboard)
- Upholstered furniture – detail vacuuming for dust and/or animal hair
- Light fixtures – hand washed if reachable. (Crystal chandeliers and fixtures too high to reach can be scheduled to be cleaned with our window vendor)
- Heavy Soap film removal on tub/tile – use of stronger clean solution and special pads.
List b
- Refrigerator (interior / exterior) – polish stainless steel where needed (Freezer cleaned only if empty)
- Self-Clean Oven – clean without oven cleaner (scrub pad and degreaser)
- Furniture Polished as a treatment with specific products of your choice (i.e. Guardsman, Lemon Oil, etc) provided by the customer.
- Fireplace – swept out and / or glass doors cleaned
- Front Door detailing
- Window (interiors) – washed with squeegee method (Our window vendor can schedule exteriors)
- Porches / Decks – swept (weather permitting)
- Garages – swept
Move-In Make Ready / Move-Out Courtesy Clean Check List
When moving in or out of your home, we have a Basic Courtesy checklist and some popular options in order to satisfy the goal of your cleaning.
Basic Courtesy Clean
(All areas that are washed / scrubbed are dried to leave shine)
Kitchen
- Counters and back splashes cleaned / sanitized
- Stove top cleaned / sanitized
- Refrigerator – exterior (interior usually requested)
- Oven – exterior only
- Dishwasher – inside edge
- Microwave – interior / exterior
- Cabinet (exterior) – spot cleaned
- Sinks – scrubbed / sanitized
- Floors – vacuumed and / or damp mopped
Bathrooms
- Sinks , Tubs, Showrs, & Tiles – scrubbed and sanitized
- Toilet (interior / exterior) – cleaned / sanitized
- Fixtures – cleaned & dried to a shine
- Countertops – clean / sanitized
- Cabinet (exteriors) – spot cleaned
- All Mirrors – cleaned
- Floors and baseboards – washed hands and knees
All Areas
- Baseboards / Window Sills / Chair rails – dusted
- Blinds – light feather dusted
- Ceiling fans / Return vents – Dusted
- Carpet – vacuumed
- Hard Floors – vacuumed and damp mopped
- Entry storm door cleaned
- Fingerprints removed in high contact areas
- Collect and remove trash
Move – In (Make Ready):
All of the details in a Courtesy Clean plus the options in Section A. Section A most frequently requested. Section B are less frequently requested.
Section A
- Wet wash wood work: baseboards, door facings / trim, chair rails, window sills
- Kitchen / Bath cabinet face exteriors: wash top to bottom
- Blinds (2″, mini-blinds): vacuum or hand dust only. (Washing available but we recommend a professional blind cleaning service)
- Plantation Shutters: hand wash (We are not responsible for any damage)
- Ceiling fans washed (if reachable – otherwise we dust with our 6′ extension tool)
- Light fixtures exteriors wet cleaned (if reachable) Crystal chandeliers and those fixtures to high to reach can be scheduled to be cleaned with our window vendor)
- Closet shelving / pantry shelves washed
- Refrigerator: interior / exterior (Freezer cleaned only if it is empty)
- Oven interior: clean with special pad and degreaser – No oven cleaner used
The most popular items are washing of woodwork, cabinet interiors and vacuuming of blinds and/or plantation blinds hand washed.
Section B
- Sweep porches / decks
- Garages swept out
- Fireplaces swept out and / or glass doors cleaned
- Window interiors washed (squeegee method) Our window vendor can schedule exteriors
IMPORTANT NOTE: Water, power and A/C or heat must be on to clean
Limitation and/or exclusions:
- We do not move heavy furniture due to insurance liabilities
- We do not reach anything higher than a two-step ladder. Our extension tool reaches higher corners, fans, light fixtures, recessed lights etc which helps reach the height of 12ft+.
- Breakages or damage due to normal wear and tear, poor installation or deterioration are not the responsibility of Minit Maids.
- We cannot be responsible for any damage to blinds.
Special Request
Special Request items include:
- Inside of Refrigerator (Shelves wiped down and sanitized)
- Inside of Oven (Please let us know if your oven is a Self Clean Model)
- Windows Washed – Inside only (must be reachable with a 2 step step-stool)
- Front Door Detailing – Minit Maids can wipe down your main entry area for the “Welcome Home” special touch. Light fixtures dusted, cobwebs removed, glass door cleaned inside/out.
- Make beds with fresh linens ($3.00 – $5.00/bed) (Unmade beds are made up at no charge)
- Vacuum upholstered furniture (includes removing cushions and vacuuming under)
- The use of your selected products (such as polish, ceramic stove top cleaner, etc., which must be in the manufacturer’s original container)
- Window Washing/Carpet Cleaning – please see below to learn about our “Partners in Grime”.
Items not covered by Minit Maids:
Dishes, laundry, wall washing, carpet cleaning, crystal chandeliers or collectable figurines.
